THE definitive Jack Sparrow figure

For collectors and movie buffs, the JS character has been irresistible for companies that have churned out various, and some very pricey, renditions of a JS figure. Some of these, to my mind, have been dreadful and/or laughable, even the expensive ones. FINALLY, it would be Hot Toys (the superb Hong-Kong based company) that kicks the head sculpt into high gear and produces an exquisite likeness of Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow, complete with Hot Toys' unique adjustable eye system that includes a face (well, 2 faces) with eerily lifelike glass eyes (you switch out the faces if you want to use the one with the characteristic JS smile/smirk). Aside from raves about the head and face sculpting and coloring, what more could the collector ask for than the sturdy construction, entire collection of hands, and beautifully crafted to-scale accessories, including a terrific ship's wheel encrusted with barnacles for display? Not to mention the finely crafted, screen-accurate clothing - real buttons, fabric boots, pockets, even touches of dirt and wear. This is a late 2012 release, after the movie "On Stranger Tides", and grab one ASAP - a true piece of art at any price for the connoisseur. The small, finely crafted accessories sure aren't for heavy use, but this is a well-crafted piece and sturdy. If you want this, shop around for best price as of Dec 2012, but this figure has been get rave reviews for quality since its release with good reason. Simply superb - not sure what Hot Toys could do better, maybe come out with a "real hair" version or a version with a real leather hat and boots, but that is almost nit-picking. I'll just cross my fingers and hope they come out with a Barbossa figure that is as good.
